The Diversidad project strikes back after their anthemic first single „The eXperience“ which dropped in late summer.
Leading up to the release of the Diversidad album in early 2011, the second single „I Got It!“ focuses on three female participants of the project: MC Melodee from The Netherlands, German singer-songwriter Mariama and Remi of the band Elemental from Croatia. French beat wizard Spike Miller nails it once again with this hypnotic club banger – sharp snares and an infectious whistle loop are complemented by uplifting synth strings during the hook that will surely make any party crowd bounce and shake on this all-female track.
As we all know from James Brown, this is a man’s world – especially when it comes to the hip hop and urban music scene. Still these three female artists show that they are willing and able to claim their spot in a male-dominated industry. Instead of letting themselves be reduced to booty-shaking video vixens, these classy ladies take a clear stand for their gender and boast self-confident rhymes that can hold their ground against any male contestant. At the same time, the track is a party anthem that easily makes you forget about any type of language, gender or national barriers – just allow yourself to get lost in the tune and be part of the movement known as Diversidad.
